Stephen Barns is a financial advisor, educator, and subject matter expert who works with individuals, families, and employer groups to help them understand the complete picture of what approaching retirement looks like.
In addition to his FINRA Series 66 securities registration and Arkansas Life and Health insurance licenses, Stephen holds the Accredited Wealth Management AdvisorSM (AWMA®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designations.
A combat veteran, prior to his professional career in business Stephen served as a noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In his downtime, Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife Candace, his son Cosmo, and his daughter Ellie. Candace is the art teacher at Sylvan Hills Elementary School where she is also a fellow for the Arkansas A+ organization. Their son, Cosmo, and daughter, Ellie, both attend Sylvan Hills, where Cosmo is a saxophone player in the school band and Ellie is a budding artist.
On most weekends, you can either find Stephen on the Ouachita River fishing with his family, restoring the family’s historic home in downtown Little Rock, or playing bass guitar with his band somewhere around the Little Rock area.
